About Greenview Academy

Green view Academy is a young school that has shown its interest in the academic pull-ups in the Zone. It is a private school currently catering for early childhood programm and primary education based on the National Curriculum.

The school was established in 1995 as a Nursery school with a total population of 20(twenty) pupils. Come 1998, the school incorporated primary section with only std 1 available. We move one class forward at the turn of the year and currently we have attained class VI with a total population of 150 pupils as we are looking forward to having class VIII come the year 2005. The institution is privately managed, but practically non-profit making at inception being one of the establishments of Bishop Dr. Washington Ogonyo Ngede and Mama Phoebe Ogonyo. It was introduced in order to assist the needy children.

We are seeking assistance to enable us achieve our aim of providing good quality and affordable education in the region by:-



  1. Securing a source of funding as parents of the region would not shoulder the deserving cost. Most of the parents live within the neighboring slums.

  2. Address the plight of many bright children who are denied education because of the demise of their parents through AIDS scourge.

  3. Reduce the ever-increasing number of HIV/AIDS orphaned children of school going age in and on the street because their guardians or single parents cannot afford to take care of their basic needs.

  4. Approaching donor friends for support since most of our children are either total orphans or staying with guardians, or are having single parents.
Despite the constraints, we are striving to be successful; we therefore hope we would not disappoint your endeavor to assist us.


CURRENT STATE OF PHYSICAL FACIUTIES:

Currently the following are the physical facilities in the school Buildings (premises)



  1. The school is divided into two sections; nursery and Primary sections. In nursery, we have three classrooms; Baby class, Middleclass and Final class. In the primary section we have six classrooms so far, I, II, Ill, IV, V, and Vi.
  2. Greenview Academy has managed to come up with the Offices, the staff room for the teaching staffs and the Administration Office.
  3. The school management has also tried to tirelessly renovated the available toilets and latrines and so far the school has four.
PLAYGROUND

Green View Academy has one playground, Though not spacious enough to accommodate all the games activities; the management with the assistance of the staff is trying to improve on it.

Considering the above achievements of the school we therefore request well wishers to assist in the provision of the following for the school to achieve its aims and objectives; and to meet the competitive world of education.

a) Computers:-

The school still lacks the computers. Considering the current curriculum, which recommends computers, we deem it fit that we introduce it in the school. By doing this, we still furnish our pupils with relevant information on global technologies.

b) Photocopying and typing machines:-

The school finds difficulty in the production of documents. A lot of expenses are incurred in the production of documents such as exams papers, letters, circulars, and e.t.c. Hence there's need of having these stationeries within the school to minimize expenses.
